Public transportation is readily available and easy to use. You can use Uber and it will connect you with a local taxi or wave one down. Taxis, buses and rentals are available at all airports. If you want to rent a car, you'll need to get an international drivers license. This can be obtained at any AAA store. We recommend renting a vehicle to explore the large island of Crete or booking a tour!

Fly to Chania International Airport Ioannis Daskalogiannis (CHQ) in Crete. You can book a connecting flight to Chania (CHQ) from your origin or a direct flight to Athens (ATH) from a major airport. Direct flights to Athens (ATH) depart regularly from Toronto (YYZ), Newark (EWR) and New York (JFK). We recommend flying out of Toronto directly to Athens and booking a separate flight to Chania if you'll be exploring Athens or another destination during your time here.
